Scope & Content Made of Paper/Ink/Cloth/Wood. Plans for the Jas. Stewart Manufacturing Co. factory buildings. All of the items are attached to a wooden rod, except item (e), on the left side of each item. There is a cloth attached to the rod which goes under all the items. The items are attached to the rod above where the cloth is attached so that when everything rolls up, the cloth provides protection to the items. a) The top reads "Factory Buildings for the Jas. Stewart Manufacturing Co. Woodstock, Ont. Scale 8 feet = 1 inch. Cuthbertsons & Fowler Architects. Woodstock & Toronto". The top left reads "Main Building. P". The middle has the plans for End Elevation and Side Elevation. The Bottom shows the Front Elevation. b) Top reads "Factory Buildings for the Jas. Stewart Manufacturing Co. Woodstock Ont. Cuthbertson & Fowler. Architects. Woodstock & Toronto. Scale 8 feet = 1 inch". Stretching from the left side to the right side of the middle is the First Floor Plan. Stretching from the left side to the right side of the bottom is the Ground Floor Plan. c) Top reads "Factory Buildings for the Jas. Stewart Manufacturing Co. Woodstock, Ont. Scale 8 feet = 1 inch. Cuthbertson & Fowler. Architects. Woodstock & Toronto". The top left reads "Main Building. Plan of offices, stores, Etc.". Across the middle is Section, and Second Floor Plan. Stretching from the left side to the right side of the bottom is the Foundation plan. d) The plan has been rotated ninety degrees clockwise to fit on the rod. The top (when rotating it back ninety degrees counter clockwise) reads "Factory Buildings for the Jas Stewart Manufacturing Co. Woodstock, Ont. Scale 8 feet = 1 inch. Plans of Moulding Shop". Across the top is Section and the End Elevation. About 7 inches down from the top it reads "Cuthbertson & Fowler. Architects. Woodstock & Toronto". Stretching from the left side to the right side in the middle is the Side Elevation. Below the Side Elevation in the middle is the Ground Floor Plan, which also stretches from the left side to the right side. Across the entire bottom is the Foundation Plan. E) The top reads "Factory Buildings for the Jas. Stewart Manufacturing Co. Woodstock, Ontario. Scale 8 feet = 1 inch". The top left reads "Cuthbertson & Fowlers. Architects. Woodstock & Toronto. The item is split into three sections by purple lines. The first section, which covers the left side and the middle, is plans for the Pattern Shop. Down the left side of the section there is the Front Elevation, the First Floor Plan and the Ground Floor Plan. Down the right side of the section is the Section, Side Elevation, and the Foundation Plan. The second section is for the Carpenter Shop. This section covers the middle and middle-right of the item. Down the left side of this section is the Section and the Side Elevation. Down the right side of the section is the Front Elevation, First Floor Plan, Ground Plan and the Foundation Plan. The third section, which covers the right side of the item, is for the Japan Shop. Going down the section, it has the Front Elevation, Section, End Elevation, Ground Plan, and Foundation Plan. This item is not attached to the rod, but it is rolled up in between item (d) and the protective cloth.
