Description A silver platter presented to Edwin Bennett from the Coles Brothers Ltd. The platter has a flowery design on the front. In the middle of the platter, it reads "Presented to Edwin Bennett from Coles Brother Ltd. 1945-1979". The back of the platter has three little feet for it to rest on.
Provenance Belonged to Ed Bennett. Edwin Bennett was the Regimental Sergeant Major of the Oxford Rifles. He held the rank of Caption in WW2. Ed was captured during the Dieppe raid and held in a prisoner of war camp. He worked for Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force (SHAEF) after WW2.
