Scope & Content Made of Paper/Staples/Tape. This dark blue soft covered manual is bound with white tape and staples. There are about 154 pages printed on white paper with black ink. On the front cover written in white and surrounded by a small rectangular white print border are the words: " Health - Home Nursing - Emergencies" There is also the Red Cross emblem. At the bottom of the cover in white print is: " Issued by.. The Canadian Red Cross Toronto Price: 25 C" Also at the bottom in a white band with red lettering is printed: " Revised Edition - 1939". The back cover has two sets of two staple backs on the right hand side in either corner. On the inside of the front cover handwritten in blue ink is: " Margaret McKay Dennis Red Cross Corps". On the insid back cover are three stapled information pamphlets. The first is on "Infantile Paralysis" published by "The Canadian Welfare Council.". The second is an information sheet printed by The Ontario Board of Health, on white paper with blue ink, on the "Prevention of Diptheria". The final pamphlet is "Measles" published by "The Metropolitan Insurance Company", it is printed on beige paper in burgandy ink. Also on the last sheet in the book is a glued newspaper clipping. The clipping shows two rows of women in Red Cross Uniforms with the title "Voluntary Instructors". This is the Red Cross manual which belonged to Margaret McKay Dennis. It wa published in 1939.
