Scope & Content Made of Paper/Ink. There is a woman sitting on a wooden gate. She is wearing a blue dress. All around her are shrubs and trees. There is a path behind her. She is in a grave yard. There are many grave stones in the distance. In her thought bubble is an image of Christ on the cross, wearing a red robe. Under the caption the text reads " Nearer, my God, to Thee, Nearer to Thee; E'en though it be a cross That raiseth me; Still all my song shall be, Nearer, my God, to Thee, Nearer to Thee." On the back is a stamp that reads "Printed In Britain". Postcard removed from photo album belonging to Sergeant William Jerry, World War 1. See album X1995.13.01 for more information.
