Description Black and white Reprint of a photograph showing Hugh Richardson, glued onto a cream coloured mat board and there is writing on the back, in two hands and in brown and blue, reads: "Later was the Judge who sentenced Louis Riel - 1885. Lt. Con. Oxford Rifles 1865 - 1875". There is also writing on the front of the mat board in black, reads: "Hugh Richardson 1st Reeve of Woodstock 1851".
Provenance Hugh Richardson was the 1st Reeve of Woodstock in 1851, was a Lt. Col. Of the Oxford Rifles (1865-1875) and was the judge who sentenced Louis Riel (1885). He was born in 1826. See Ed Bennett file.
