Description Black and white professional photo of five wagons with stationary covers and roll-up side window coverings. They are lined up one behind the other on a sidewalk. There is a cross on a white square at the front corner of the first four wagons from left. Behind them is the was of a multi-windowed, light coloured brick building. "The BAIN" is painted in large letters on the side of the building. "OFFICE" can be noted on the transom window of a door behind the first wagon on the left. Snow, a dirt road and a post are in the foreground. The photo has a matte finish, medium contrast and medium definition plus medium depth of field. The photo is mounted on dark green mat board. Handwritten on the back is "Canadian War Museum / Neg Number 82-7204".
Provenance This is a photo of five ambulance wagons made by Bain Wagon Co. during WW1. The emblem on the side is the Red Cross emblem. A copy of this photo is being kept at the Canadian War Museum.
