Description Black and white photograph with a white edged border. Photograph of a young man, wearing a long outdoor jacket and cap, standing with his hands in his pocket on a side walk infront of a building. The wall of the building has a mural on it done in four sections. It shows a man sitting with his knees pulled up under his hands and a pair of womens legs in heels The man is standing in front of the white shadowed writing. Beside the man to the right of the photo is a pair of white doors. On the back of the photograph written across the top in pencil is: " 1924 SunnySide Toronto May 25th".
Provenance SunnySide Toronto May 25th 1924. LeVerne Marshall was the oldest son of Thomas George and Charlotte Marshall (nee Martin). He was raised at 226 Oxford St. beside Thomas Organ and Piano Co. He was one of three children: William Lloyd (b. 1905- d. 1911 C) and Thomas LeRoy. In his adult years he is believed to have married a woman named Ruby. He settled in Galt, Ont. where he lived until his death. For more information on this family please see the artifact file 2009.08.01.
